Examples: It costs $200-500 to feed one horse for one month depending on condition and dietary needs. A vet exam will start around $300 and could reach $1000+ in an emergency in just a few minutes. Intake for a new dog which includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, worming, leash, collar, microchip, and a toy costs well over
$400 for each dog. A load of hay costs over $8,000!

Adopt Me! - Suzanne
Adopt "Suzanne". I was recently rescued from another shelter I am a young 2 yr old mixed breed girl. I like kids and most other dogs. I walk well on a leash. I am such a puppy at heart and want a job, to play, and a family to love. I had a rough start and came from death row out of state.
Community & Youth Education
2016. Elementary and preschool tours, Eagle Scout projects, youth volunteers.
Lewis Palmer Elementary School
Unfortunately, because of current economic conditions, housing market, and extreme hay prices, we are seeing more and more horses either surrendered or abandoned. Many are being turned lose on private land, starved, seized in terribly emaciated condition, and many older horses no longer have a home. We are all feeling the results of this ecomonic pinch, but the needs of these horses are great, and even a small donation of $50 can help us feed a needy horse. We also rescue racers.
